Cleaning and Linen Policies

  • Clean Bed Guarantee: All linens are washed and bleached every time for the highest sanitation requirements. Gold Star washes all high-quality linens before every new guest's arrival, including every bath towel, washcloth, makeup cloth, sheet, blanket, pillowcase, and dish towel every time. Linens are washed in high-heat commercial washers with select EPA and environmentally safe detergents and bleach for complete and thorough sanitation. Specialized confinement procedures are used for keeping soiled linens separate from all other linens to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Guests are requested to refrain from any activity that would damage or destroy linens, including but not limited to rips, tears, and permanent stains. Charges may apply for replacement at retail price if damaged.
  • Professional Cleaning: All units are professionally cleaned by Gold Star's own cleaning staff (not third-party companies). Eco-friendly approved chemicals are used to clean and disinfect before each new guest's arrival. Each staff member is assigned to the same property. Linens are laundered using high-heat commercial washers and dryers. After each cleaning, professional inspectors thoroughly evaluate the unit to ensure it qualifies for the Gold Star White Glove Treatment.
